My Work
My name is Felicity, and I am a qualified integrative counsellor.
I am committed to providing counselling in a safe, confidential and non-judgemental environment. I have many years experience of working with children, young people and adults in a variety of ways and places.
I have experience of counselling with both adults and young people and have worked in a mental health charities and a secondary school.
I am also a qualified youth and community worker and have over 20 years experience in youth work in local authorities.
I have worked as an equine facilitated leadership practitioner with both groups and individuals.
My Approach
As an integrative counsellor, I work with a person centred and psychodynamic approach which allows me to draw on what is happening in the here and now while considering events from the past that may impact on the present. I may draw on techniques from other approaches such as cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) or from neurolinguistic programming (NLP) if I feel it will be beneficial to our work.
I like to work creatively using things such as art or sand objects such as stones, Lego or other toys. Sometimes these help to explore ideas and thoughts to develop a sense of ourselves and our experiences.
